Who's behind 4Players

From one community to every court

We started as 4Players Club, a padel community in Athens that matches players by level so every game is balanced and fun. Every time we travelled, the same problem came up: where do I play, is the club any good, and who do I play with? Google, Facebook groups and random WhatsApp links weren't the answer.

So we're building the directory we always wanted: independent, free and honest. Less searching, more playing.

FAQ

Good to know

What is padel?

Padel is a racket sport played mostly in doubles on an enclosed court about a third the size of a tennis court. Players use solid, stringless rackets and a low-pressure ball, and the glass and mesh walls are part of the game. It is easy to learn and very social.

How big is a padel court?

A standard doubles court is 20 m long and 10 m wide, split by a net and enclosed by glass back walls and metal mesh. Singles courts are narrower, around 6 m wide, and much less common.

Where does padel come from?

Padel was invented in 1969 in Acapulco, Mexico, by Enrique Corcuera, who walled in a small court at his home. It took off in Spain and Argentina and is now one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.

What equipment do I need?

A padel racket, padel balls and court shoes with good grip. Many clubs rent rackets and sell balls on site; our listings will show which ones do.

Is scoring the same as in tennis?

Yes, padel uses tennis scoring: 15, 30, 40, game, with sets to six games. The main differences are the underarm serve, which must bounce first, and the walls, which keep the ball in play.

Can beginners play with advanced players?

They can, but games are more fun when levels are close. Many clubs run level-based socials and beginner sessions, and our club pages will point you to them.

How is 4Players different from other directories?

Reviews come only from real players, club details are kept up to date, and each listing connects you with the local community so you can find people to play with, not just a court.

How can my club be listed?

Listing is free. Club owners will be able to claim and update their page once we launch. We are onboarding clubs city by city, starting with Athens.
